What Makes A Good Film?
Q&A is a brand-new category where I share with readers all of my answers to possible Ielts speaking topics and questions. Just consider me your learning mate because I am currently attending a course myself, not having taken the bona fide test yet.
1. Do you like to watch film?
I absolutely love watching movies. It's a wonderful way of experiencing how others live. Even though each of us can only lead one life, we can now participate in so many different lifestyles through screens. Films allow us to temporarily put ourselves into another world. How cool is that?
2. Do you prefer foreign films or Vietnamese films?
I'm much more into imported films than domestically produced ones. Possibly because of cultural exposure. People in different countries have different norms, ideas and messages exhibiting within their film-making. Of course, watching Vietnamese films are also very enjoyable and beneficial. However, watching domestic films will help me broaden my horizons.
3. How often do you go to the cinema to watch a film?
I am keen on watching movies at the cinema; however, I find the ticket price rather costly and wasteful if I go there on a regular basis. Therefore, I solely pay a visit to the cinema when hanging out with friends, or when a highly-anticipated blockbuster is released.
4. Do Vietnamese people like to go to a cinema to watch a film?
Sure they do! It's evident that cinemas have been playing an crucial role in the spiritual and recreational life of the Vietnamese, especially in recent years. Cinemas are packed on every weekend, as well as holiday. People indulges in watching movies at the cinemas, probably for they enjoy the lively sound quality, breath-taking cinematography and great time spent with friends or families.
